Privacy Policy

Overview

Your privacy is important. The short version: Ballistic Buddy collects no personal data whatsoever. There are no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no accounts.

Data Storage

Everything you do in Ballistic Buddy — range cards, group analysis sessions, settings, targets — is stored entirely in your own browser's local storage on your own device. None of this data is ever sent to any server we control.

Google Drive Sync (Optional)

If you choose to use the optional Google Drive sync feature, your app data is written directly to your own Google Drive account using the restricted appDataFolder scope. This scope gives the app access to its own private app folder that only Ballistic Buddy can read — it cannot access anything else in your Drive.

Your synced data travels directly between your browser and Google. Ballistic Buddy's own server only handles signing in: it keeps an encrypted sign-in token in a cookie on your device so sync can resume without asking you again, and it passes short "something changed" notices between your signed-in devices. It never receives or stores your synced data. We do not access your Google account details and we do not request your email address. The synced data can be viewed and deleted at any time from your Google Drive settings under "Manage Apps".

Cookies and Tracking

Ballistic Buddy does not use analytics, tracking cookies, or any third-party tracking scripts. The only cookie is the encrypted sign-in cookie described above, which is set only if you turn on Google Drive sync and is removed when you sign out.

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service integrated into Ballistic Buddy is the optional Google Drive sync, described above. Google's own Privacy Policy applies to your use of Google Drive.
