I'm Tom, and I keep building Ballistic Buddy to make real shooting workflows simpler: accurate calculations, cleaner printouts, better review tools, and less setup friction.
What started as a personal calculator is now a broader app with target generation, group analysis, installable mobile use, offline support, and optional sync. I build it in my own time, and support keeps development moving.

What is Ballistic Buddy?
Ballistic Buddy is a free web app for shooters who want one place to calculate, document, print, analyse, save, and revisit their setups. It covers the core ballistic work, but also the practical jobs around it that tend to get spread across notes, screenshots, and other tools.
My Mission
I want to make solid ballistic and range-day tooling accessible without subscriptions, bloated setup, or opaque data handling. The aim is a dependable app that works for beginners, serious hobbyists, and experienced shooters alike.

Saved setups stay local by default, with optional share links, backups, and Google Drive sync when that is genuinely useful.
What the app includes now
The app has expanded well beyond a single calculator page. These are the main capabilities that define it today.

Why I keep expanding it
The original calculator solved only part of the range-day problem. Recent work has gone into continuity between sessions: install flow, offline use, sharing, sync, and easier recovery when you switch devices.
What I optimise for
Useful outputs, predictable behavior, and low friction beat flashy complexity. If a feature does not help someone get from setup to better shots faster, it usually does not stay.
How feedback helps
A lot of the refinements come from real use and user reports. That includes workflow edges, mobile experience, printing, and persistence details that only show up after repeated sessions.
